Alex says about Oxy Music: \"The album is a story, a\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003ework of fiction, mostly from the perspective of a man. Starved of\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003emeaningful purpose, confused about the state of the world, and in\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003edire need of a reason to live - a person can, and according to the\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003elatest statistics, increasingly will, turn to opioids. This is one of those\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003epeople.\"\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eWhile Oxy Music could be dark, it's instead brighter and more\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003ebuoyant than much of Cameron's previous work, a shift in mood first\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eseen across 2019's Miami Memory.
